Very Pinteresting...

For a crafty person like me, Pinterest is so much fun. It never ceases to amaze me how simple little projects can sometimes be my favorite. This one is so easy. Paint the inside of a mason jar with your choice of acrylic paint. Voila! Easy.

Summer!

Summertime fun! It's hard to believe summer is over half way over. It sure goes quick. These images were the result of boredom. I got some fun pictures out of the kids and they, of course, got CANDY. Go figure.

I never grow tired of this lens.

writing 101

I used to journal everyday. I journaled all thru my pregnancies, cancer & travels. Now I look back and see the last entry date was nearly 2 and a half years ago. Shameful...

Project 3/52

52 Week Project Photo Paint the Moon Photoshop Actions PSE
Whoa, I'm really behind. Not a surprise but also not too hard to catch up. I was feeling a little discouraged today, decided to call my mom and she gave me a nice gentle kick in the bum (she's one of the only humans on earth I allow to do this). I decided to carry my camera around all day and see what there was to capture. The theme for week 3 is WHITE SPACE or negative space. This refers to the negative space surrounding your subject. I do not take a lot of nature pictures because people are usually my favorite subjects. However, sometimes I forget how beautiful and delicate God's work is. I absolutely love dandelions even though they are weeds and since Spring has sprung early I was able to capture these beautiful blooms growing at the park today. Thank you God for your beauty.

Spring is coming early! [DFW Children's photographer]

Once again, Texas weather never ceases to amaze me. We have had the most mild winter I've ever experienced in my 10 years of living here. This day was no exception as were up to 80 degrees! 80 degrees! The Bradford Pear trees are blooming for crying out loud. I couldn't resist getting the camera out and snapping a few pics of the kids in their new duds. So we enjoyed the weather and was soaking up all the beautiful sunshine. Spring is here a little early.

24x36 Canvas of the below pic should be on my doorstep in next few days:)

Guest room gets an update!

I have wanted to have a nice guest room for a while now but unfortunately I struggle with making concrete decisions. What colors? What style? What furniture? Blah blah blah. I finally stuck with a style (shabby chic comfortable) and with the good help of my designer friend I am starting to see my room come together. My friend has pushed me to make decisions and commit to the process and I'm really excited to see the final result. There is still a few more things to be done, another table by the green chair, a floor lamp behind the green chair, custom curtains, Euro shams and dust ruffles. Plus a couple more pictures to hang and little personal touches but it is looking just like I envisioned a room looking! Andria has proven to me that it's good to have an interior decorator help to make decisions! I've been fortunate to have her help! The pictures were shot at 5 o'clock, so the sun was blaring thru with all kinds of harsh lights but this gives a good idea how the room will turn out! I love it and can't wait for a guest!!!

Below picture shot with my fisheye lens. I had to dust that lens off b/c it rarely sees the light of day!:)
